The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, Martyn's Law, brings schools expecting 200 or more people on site into a new statutory regime, regulated by the Security Industry Authority. Statutory guidance is published. The duties cannot start before April 2027, at least 24 months after Royal Assent, and the actual date has not yet been set.
